Oath Before Battle

I've been drawing comics so much I was worried I forgot everything else. Just making sure I still got it!

No One Gives U y Girls A Chance

Haven't updated here in a while because I've mostly been working on smaller-scale comics. I would like them to be here but they are all on my Tumblr: catbus-express.tumblr.com. Here's an illustration I just completed, I've been drawing a lot of dog people lately on their cellphones.

Scanned Summer

Here are two illustrations I've been meaning to scan: this martian dog planet ruler (from May) and a better quality version of End of The Century. Enjoy!

The Day...

Finished up a short comic about getting really frustrated and having some dweeb make it worse. Maybe I'm being a baby, but seriously, that guy sucked.
But it's not all bad, it hit me how much I really truly care about my work, and even when there are interferences and deadlines that doesn't mean I don't put my all in it. I've gotten super sappy, but I'm telling the truth!

Hello Adventure Time!

Working at Frederator Studios, one of the things they have me do is make fan art for the shows. Here are two based off of one of my favorite characters!

Mixed Company - Exhibit in Seoul

My final week in Seoul ended with my first international gallery opening at Gallery 175 in Insadong! It was a very exciting experience, and I hope I can do it all again soon!

First week in Seoul - Daegu

I'm in Seoul, South Korea for a month working on projects for an exhibition we will have at the end of July. After a lot of getting used to Seoul and understanding the surroundings, we went to Daegu university for a few days to work with the students there. The first day we had a lesson in Sumi Ink painting, and practiced the linework of brushstrokes, amount of water applied to the ink, and creating classic sumi ink imagery.
The next day we did sculpture projects with the Daegu students that had to be site-specific and created in a short amount of time. Our group focused around our friend Minah's route from school to her home every night, and how she was afraid of criminals in the streets. We created a shrine-like monster shield to protect her, equipped with a sharp wooden plank for a knife and a lightbulb to light the way home.

On the side of the road we found a Styrofoam box filled with raw meat in plastic bags. Minah placed the bags alongside our shield, and claimed them as a warning to anyone who would try to harm her.

Daegu was surprisingly a very successful trip, and the first week was a great introduction to life in South Korea!
